“Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes, do not resist them, that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like.”

Counselling & Psychotherapy
Working at depth with heart and soul
I am a Senior Accredited counsellor, psychotherapist, supervisor and counselling trainer with over 20 years of experience in the counselling and psychotherapy professions, offering both long and short term trauma informed counselling and psychotherapy.
I originally trained in person centred therapy, which puts the client at the centre of the process and sees them as the expert on themselves. I then went on to gain further qualifications and in this training the focus was in working with an integrative model which also focused on the therapeutic relationship but brought together different theoretical approaches, primarily humanistic, and extended my knowledge and understanding and provided other techniques and tools to inform my work. Alongside my counselling and psychotherapy training, I continued to work with shamanic practices and astrology, and study numerous healing techniques and spiritual disciplines.
This, along with my considerable ongoing professional development, allows me to adapt my work to the needs of each individual client, whilst also focusing on the therapeutic relationship, which is shown to be the most important factor in successful outcomes in therapy.
My work is of depth, and is soul and heart centred, putting the client at the centre of the process, recognising that they are the expert on themselves and so empowering them to find their own answers and become the expert on themselves. Alongside the more conventional aspects of modern theoretical approaches I integrate a shamanic world view into the work, the understanding that we are on journey of growth and deep spiritual healing, not just of this lifetime but of previous lifetimes and karmic wounds we carry. It recognises that all that happens in our lives is to enable to learn and grow should we choose to do so. and that many of our struggles in this life come from a disconnet with both the natural word and spirit or the divine. This I see as the true meaning of psychotherapy - soul healing.
Counselling and psychotherapy can be helpful at many times in our lives, whether we are dealing with major life changes, feeling mentally or emotionally unwell, struggling with aspects of our personality, work or relationships, or simply feeling dissatisfied with life and ourselves. Counselling and psychotherapy can also be used to help us to gain understanding of who we are, why we feel as we do, and to develop more fully into the person we have the potential to be.
For those clients who feel it is appropriate we can integrate astrology into the work using your natal chart and transits.
